Alanna Morales's favorite day of homecoming week was meme day!

Every year sophomores make the transition from the Junior high to the High School, which is significantly different in every aspect. The junior high is a one level school with only five classrooms above, while the High school’s second level maintains the English, Math, and elective courses. The Highschool holds 1,169 students and the junior high follows with 1,234. The junior high is way smaller and makes walking in the hallways tight and uncomfortable, while the High school halls are so spaced you get lost. The classes are mixed with grades 10-12 and the variety of classes is less limited providing more flexible schedules and learning opportunities.

“I like the High school better because it’s a lot more laid back than the junior high. All the teachers and staff at the junior high are more strict with the kids and the lunch hour is short. At the High school you can leave and have more food options.” sophomore Kaylee Cox said.

“The High school is bigger and there is a bigger variety of classes. You also get off campus lunch!” sophomore Ashlyn Birch said

“The dress code is better than the junior high’s and there’s more class options. The Highschool has made more opportunities to make more friends.” sophomore Alanna Morales said.
