The Madison Bobcats basketball team lost a 58-51 heartbreaker this Friday against Corona Centennial from California in the Owyhee tournament.
“We played our hearts out, it’s all we can ask. The only thing I care about is attitude and effort and it was phenomenal,” coach Shane Humpherys said.
With the loss there was a lot of good shown like Nash Humpherys 27 point game.
“Just one possession at a time trying to make the right play for the team and just taking your shot when it’s open,” Humpherys said.
Although the Bobcats lost, they play the MaxPreps 61st best team in the nation the Owyhee Storm this Saturday.
“I hope we play Owyhee, send a message to the state just kind of what we’re all about in Idaho,” Humphreys said.
The Owyhee Storm’s best player is their four star recruit Liam Campbell who is committed to USC.
“I’ve played with [Liam] but he can force up some bad shots sometimes, so I have faith in Chase and Humpherys and what they pull up,” senior Berrett Wilson said.
