In the fun world of winter sports, the debate between snowboarding and skiing is ongoing. Junior Brandon Fullmer, a long time skier, loves the adrenaline of his sport. On the other side of the slope, Junior Grant Routson loves snowboarding, as well as the fun and joyful experiences involved. As this debate continues, these young enthusiasts share their different perspectives, adding to this great question: skiing or snowboarding?

“From my personal preference I like skiing more. I grew up with it and for me it’s just funner,” Fullmer said.

One of the known advantages of skiing is having each foot free, opening the sport up to other opportunities.

“It just looks cooler because you have two different slabs that you can make combinations of grabs and stuff with,” Fullmer said.

Many have tried both and have held onto one preference.

“I like snowboarding more because it was something new because I started out skiing and I feel like it is just better,” Routson said.

Experiencing both activities helps you find what’s good about each one. But one particular perk stands out in the sport of snowboarding.

“You just feel like a boss and you can penguin slide which is fun,” Routson said.
