Singing Solo
The MHS choir performed Wednesday night at the Madison Auditorium. Along with many different groups performing including, Vocal Spectrum, Treble Choir, Shades, Musettes, and Bel Cantos. Senior Mo Seal had the opportunity to sing a solo.
“I will be singing Can’t Hurt Love by The Spectrum. This song’s just saying that love doesn’t come easy and you have to be patient” Seal said.
There are many things people do to prepare for a big event, whether it be alone or in a group. Performing alone can be quite scary for some people but it always helps to come prepared. Mo told us a little bit about how she does this.
“I just try to listen to the song over and over before I go on. It just helps me remember all the words and the way I am supposed to sing it” Seal said.
There over different types of songs the choir sang that night. All with different meanings, tempos, and beats. There are more than 41 types of songs and everyone has different opinions on what they like to sing and listen to.
“I like this song. I wouldn’t choose it myself. Mr. Hink chose it for me but I don’t mind singing it” Seal Said.
