Our Student council had the opportunity to go to regionals for student council this last monday. Covid-19 restrictions made it a little difficult but they still had a great time.

“Normally the student council leaves and goes down to Idaho State University, but due to Covid we had to stay here. Luckily we got to use the conference room above the cafeteria for it,” Junior Kayson Smith said.

Student council watched various videos made by other schools about leadership.

“I really liked Phil Boyte’s speech. He gave a speech on leadership and it gave our council a lot of good ideas for ways to include students and friends in the future,” Smith said.

Many people participate in this conference.

“I’m not sure how many schools were there but the zoom meeting had over 160 participants. We all got to participate in a spirit competition and it was a lot of fun,” Smith said.

All of these people came to work together to learn leadership skills.

“It was really great to see all the councils from around the state come together and agree on stuff,” Smith said.
