For those that use Spotify, they know that it is one of the best music sources. Spotify released a “Spotify Wrapped” for all users, since 2016. It tells you how your music has evolved through the year.

“My favorite thing was seeing my music’s progression through the year,” Junior William Madsen said.

Now we all know how great Spotify is but they do some questionable things, because they track your music taste.  Spotify uses what you listen to and makes playlists or suggestions only for you.

“My least favorite thing was that I never actually listened to a podcast, but when I was viewing Spotify Wrapped it said my favorite podcast was one I didn’t listen to,” Madsen said.

One of the features that was in Spotify Wrapped was it showed you how many total minutes you had during the year, and 1 out of 5 students at MHS had an average of 34,326 minutes on Spotify. Which may not be true for some people.

“I had 72,000 minutes because music is such a big part of my life,” Senior Boston Jensen said.

One of the funny things about it is that it really exposes your taste of music. Which can be a good and a bad thing.

“My least favorite was how it exposed me on my corny, corny, music taste,” Jensen said.

Included in it was it told you how many different countries your artists were from. 1 out of 4 students at MHS have an average of artists from 34 different countries.

“My artists were from 21 different countries,” Sophomore Ella Mcomber said.
