The bedding class at MHS has an annual plant sell that shows the community how much work they really put in to help fund the greenhouse.
“So it’s a class that students get a science credit for, they work primarily out in the greenhouse, planting plants and getting to apply what they’ve learned in plant science, which is a prerequisite to this class and they can apply it into a real world type setting.
And to help fund the greenhouse, we have a plant sell where they can sell the projects they’ve been working on,” AG teacher Ms. Bothwell said.
You can purchase their plants May 19th from 3:30-7:00 p.m. and May 20th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the greenhouse behind the MHS AG building.
“Our vegetables are a dollar and then our hanging baskets are $20 and so it ranges in between those two,” Senior Aliesha Seamons said.
Supporting and buying from the plant sell would increase the availability for the next year’s class to get the same opportunity.
“[They should buy the plants] to support MHS and support all of the work our class has done. Every class period, we do something to keep them alive so we can sell them,” Junior Kaleb Christensen said.
