Have you ever been in the Ag Building at Madison High School? A lot of students haven’t been there. At the Ag Building they have a lot of opportunities for hands-on learning and a different environment for students to learn in. It’s a place where you can find the mechanical and agricultural parts of life. FFA is the competition part of the ag building.

“It’s pretty cool being here and learning with hands-on experience. I get to be with my friends in the classes that I like,”Sophomore Ayden Allen said.

There’s a variety of classes to take that center around hands-on learning that teach students how to take what they learn into their daily lives.

“I teach Ag Mechanics, Welding, Ecology, Natural Resources, Aquaculture, Forestry and Wildlife. I like to teach these because I enjoy the outdoors. I love to hunt and fish. I like to camp. I think it’s cool how where we live we have forests, we have rivers, we have access to all this cool recreation,” Ag Instructor Jason Bair said.

The teachers are all there to give you the best experience to figure out what you like and what you want to do. They offer a variety of classes that can help us understand the outdoors, animals, and how to build things from aquaculture to engines.

“Most of the students that come into the ag building have a plan. They have a direction they want to go into. This building I think is helping students find that path that they want to go on,” Bair said.
