Fitting in With the Seasons

Spring is here! We wanted to know if students at MHS change their fits as the seasons change and see if there is a difference between boys and girls.

We thought there would be a big difference between boys and girls, but what we found out was that there really wasn’t much of a difference between what either gender said.

“My summer wardrobe doesn’t have sleeves and it’s not dull. I definitely like colors in the summer more than in the winter,” Junior Taylor Brown said.

Brown and Sophomore Whitney White, both really like matching their outfits to the season.

“My winter outfits are a ton of layers and neutrals, but in the summer I like to wear more colorful things,” White said

It was surprising to see that a guy and a girl said similar things, but not all boys would agree like White and Brown did.

“Sometimes I have to wear long sleeves for work, but other than that I’d say any shirt and some good shorts always work,” Senior Andrew Walker said.

Walker didn’t mention color like White and Brown did , but he did mention some change in wardrobe depending on the seasons. It doesn’t seem like boys and girls have very much difference between how they change their outfits for the seasons like many people might think.

“I think guys and girls both care about their style even if they might not look like they do,” Junior, Ella Bjornn, said.
