Embracing Fall: Student Traditions

Students embrace fall with haunted mazes, pumpkin carving, and cozy drinks, making the season special with friends.
“Sometimes me and my family go to the Clements Pumpkin patch. We also like to watch General Conference. We did that this weekend,” Junior Kamay Leathem said.
Fall is a season filled with family traditions and fun activities that bring people together. A big fall attraction is haunted places.
“I already went, which was my first time this year, but I usually try to go somewhere haunted with my friends,” Leatham said.
Thanksgiving is one of the most popular fall holidays, celebrated by many as a time to gather with family and friends, enjoy a big meal, and reflect on what they’re thankful for.
“I love mashed potatoes and gravy, and my mom makes, um, this stuff called raspberry crunch. It has pretzels, and then like white marshmallow stuff with raspberry gel on the top. It’s really good,” Leatham said.
Warm drinks and cozy flavors also make the fall season feel extra special and comforting.
“My favorite fall drink is apple cider, or there’s this warm punch or something that my friend makes,” Junior James Heap said.
Halloween is another favorite fall tradition, where people celebrate by dressing up in fun costumes and enjoying festive activities.
“Some of my gymnastics friends are thinking about doing the Saja Boys. It is a group costume which we will probably do. Which would be fun to dress up and have fun together,” Heap said.
