Valentines day Delivery…Think Again

Secretary’s showing that there are no deliveries allowed in the office for Valentines Day.

The amount of stress put on in the office during Valentine’s Day has been super hectic for Lisa Jackson and Debbie Thompson, the secretaries at Madison Highschool.

“There was a room in the office that was chuck full of valentines gifts, and our office aids were running everywhere,” Jackson said.

Due to the deliveries, classes would constantly be disrupted and teachers were not able to teach.

“ It’s such a disruption for the teachers in class, students would be getting a note to come down for a delivery every 5 minutes, teachers couldn’t teach, it was unmanageable,” Thompson said.

The office would get around 350 gifts to deliver and a lot of them would get delivered wrong, which would cause parents to get mad.

“Parents would get mad if their child didn’t get their gift perfectly or at the right time,” Jackson said.

The office decided to stop doing deliveries and have parents give their children gifts at home.

“ There were about 350 deliveries in the office during the day. It’s not that we think you guys don’t deserve the lovie things your parents bring you, but they just need to give them to you at home,” Jackson said.
