Noah Ingram Wrestles
Wrestling has been a major part of Senior Noah Ingram’s life. Ingram started wrestling when he was five years old.
“I started because my dad got me into it,” Ingram said.

Ingram has been quite successful in the sport. Overall, this season he has had a 23-3 record. Recently he went 4-2 at the Rollie Lane Tournament. This tournament is prestigious

“I wrestled a lot of good matches that I can learn from,” Ingram said.
This season has been a continuation of his success. Some of his biggest accomplishments have been taking 4th and 6th in his weight class at the state tournament. Ingram has also
taken third once and second twice at the district tournament. Additionally, Ingram also won the state titles for Greco and Freestyle last spring, which are international forms of wrestling. This year Ingram has goals to win district and state titles. His short term goal is to win the Madison Invitational, which is next week. Last year he lost both of his matches and was eliminated. He says that this year he wants to get redemption by doing better than he did last time. Some of Noah’s strengths are shots, takedowns, and the neutral position. His coaches have praised his mental strength and ability to stay calm under pressure. His head coach,
Aaron Peterson, says that he is very coachable and is always improving consistently.

“I got a pack of discs for Christmas one year and then tried them out, and now I am an addict,” Ingram said.
Ingram has had multiple top three finishes at disc golf tournaments. Ingram describes disc golf as being calming compared to wrestling. After high school Ingram hopes to be able wrestle in college. He says that his philosophy in wrestling is putting in daily effort.
“Doing everything I can to get stronger, faster, a better overall wrestler,” Ingram said.
Even though wrestling practices are often difficult, Ingram tries to find the fun in it. Ingram’s good work ethic
