TikTok Affecting Schools Around the Nation

A viral TikTok threat of school violence has schools concerned all across the nation today. Schools have taken extra precaution today with extra law enforcement. Madison school district has made it clear that they have taken steps to ensure student safety at all schools. The principal of Madison Senior High school, Brady Klassen has addressed this matter.

“As a precautionary measure, we will have extra law enforcement in the building for today and as with any circumstances if you see something, hear something, say something,” Klassen said. 

The school district discussed the situation most of yesterday by investigating the TikTok challenge.

“We do not believe this to be a credible threat, district admin and law enforcement spent most of the day yesterday investigating the TikTok challenge and found no evidence to suggest otherwise,” Klassen said.

The Kurt Bestor concert and the boy’s basketball game are still scheduled for later tonight.

“Attendance will count today. If a student chooses to miss today it will count towards their 8 days,” Klassen said.
