Starting a new business can be time consuming and very difficult. Junior Jillian Waldron started her own entrepreneur journey a year and a half ago. Waldron makes bracelets and will be using them for her ‘Value Challenge’ and will also be participating in Miss Madison.

“Tamarack Idea Factory is a business I started with my mom, and it started out with me making bracelets,” Waldron said.

Waldron bought some Pura Vida bracelets and it motivated her to start making her own bracelets.

“I ended up researching and learning what kind of string to use, started to order string, and my business idea grew from there,” Waldron said.

Waldron makes all different types of bracelets and you can even customize your own.

We have all kinds of bracelets including thick braids, thin braids, 9 string etc. and I do custom orders so you can order a charm, the colors, and the style of the bracelet you would like,” Waldron said.

Waldron even does personalized art cards that you can order to go with your bracelets for a gift.

“I also do personalized art cards, so if you want to order bracelets for a gift you can also order an art card that can have a cute pun or lettering to go with your bracelets,” Waldron said.

Waldron sells the bracelets on her instagram page, @tamarack_idea_factory_.

“I encourage you all to follow the instagram and if you enjoy it dm me what you want and I can tell you specific prices,” Waldron said

Waldron will also be a contestant in Miss Madison on Saturday, October 16th.

“I thought it would be a better way to get to know new people by putting myself out there because I used to be a social butterfly, but then I moved to Rexburg and became shy,” Waldron said. “I wanted to get out of my comfort zone so I could go back to being myself.”

Waldron will be doing the ‘Value Challenge’ which is all about getting to know each other in a deeper way and showing that we value each other.

“I am going to accomplish this by making a bracelet that everyone can buy and it will have a paper with the Value Challenge on it, and when you get your bracelet you can think of a friend and work on doing the challenge with them,” Waldron said.

Each letter in Value stands for something in the challenge, so V stands for ‘Valuable’ meaning notice and realize your valuable friendships. A is for ask, meaning getting together with your friends and ask questions to learn little things about them. L is for laugh, so take time to laugh and hangout with your friends instead of just sending a picture on snapchat. U is for understand, so know what your friends are like when they are struggling and be able to help them through their hard times. Lastly, E is for encourage, so encourage your friends, make them feel good, and lift them up.

“It will be super awesome to deepen our relationships here at Madison,” Waldron said.
