After a hard season of football, the Varsity team finally got their first win. They are continuing on in the playoffs and they get to play against Rigby next. After a much needed boost of confidence, they are ready to play against our rivals.

“I’m excited to play this Friday because it’s against Rigby, our rivals! Last year I was injured with a broken collarbone so it’s almost been two years since I’ve played them,” Senior Trevor Lucero said.

The football team is going to have a challenge with their Varsity quarterback, Junior Kieren Valora, not playing in the game.

“Me and some friends made a dumb mistake and egged Rigby Highschool, we got caught and our consequence was we were trespassed from Rigby property for a year,” Valora said.

Some might think we are going into this game with a disadvantage having Valora gone, but the football team has lots of confidence in their JV quarterback.

“It sucks that Kieren can’t play, but I have full faith in Sophomore Ben Dredge. He’ll step up and be a leader. He has this funny awkward swagger that’s contagious, and I wouldn’t want any but ‘Lil Daddy’ playing this friday,” Lucero said.
