Sneakerheads
At Madison High School there are a couple of students that are what people would call a sneakerhead, a sneakerhead is someone who is very into sneakers and knows quite a bit about them. Slowly in fashion shoes are becoming a bigger deal because they can make or break an outfit.
Max Ward a Senior at Madison High School is one of these sneakerheads. He pays attention to when most Nike shoes drop and tries to buy them.
“I was looking forward to the Jordan 4 Union LA’s but I took a fat L. I honestly just think they are a super cool shoe with a unique design.”
Ward has several pairs of shoes and the most expensive shoe he owns are the Nike Travis Scott Dunks.
“Travis Scott is an icon! His shoes are just super unique and dope!”
Ward’s favorite brand of sneakers is Nike and his favorite style from Nike are Nike dunks.
“I really like the Nike style because they are very unique and versatile! They can go with any look and my favorite style is mostly Nike dunks.”
Sometimes sneakerheads have to wait in line to get a certain pair of shoes. Ward hasn’t had to, but he has been in line for a shoe draw online.
“I’ve only been in line for a shoe draw for a couple of hours but never in person. I do most of my shoe shopping online.”
Another one of these sneakerheads is Senior, Carson Porter, he also pays attention to when shoes drop and tries to buy them and His favorite brand of shoes is Jordan.
“There was the Union LA Jordan shoes that dropped today but I sadly got none of them and there’s the Black Concord Jordan 12’s dropping later this month.”
Porter’s most expensive shoe he owns are the Nike Air Fear of God 1’s.
“I chose the Fear of Gods over other shoes just because it’s one of my favorite sneaker silhouettes.”
Porter hasn’t had to wait in line to get shoes in person but online he has.
“When I try to get shoes online I just use the Nike SNKRS app and whenever I try to get a pair of shoes off there I usually just get on at 8 in the morning, cause that’s when they drop most of the time, and submit an order for them. Then it puts me in line and within like 10-15 minutes it will notify me if I got the shoes or not.”
Both Ward and Porter love shoes and have specific styles and brands they like, which is what makes them sneaker heads.
