Musical Hearts Break as Disney Land Closes
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus many places have closed down including Disneyland, Lagoon, and our own school. Many people have been affected by these changes, especially our band students who were going to go to disneyland in just a few days.
Since being freshmen these students have looked forward to this trip. Finding out they couldn’t go was devastating to them.
“We’ve been looking forward to this senior trip from day one of freshman year and now that it was one week away, it got canceled,”Senior Sydney Williams said .
Even though the trip has been cancelled, they know that it is all for a good purpose and for their own safety.
“Many people were upset and angry and confused, but they are canceling all these as a safety precaution to stop the spread of the coronavirus,” Williams said.
It is still uncertain whether the band students will be able to go with the orchestra later this year, but they are still hopeful.
“We are reminded that we have no control over this situation, and if Disneyland opens in time I think they are planning on rescheduling. We will go with the orchestra at the end of school,” Williams said.
