Journalism Conference

On January 17th Madison High School will be hosting an East Idaho journalism conference. Schools everywhere from Burley to Driggs were invited. Any students that are interested in pursuing a career in communications were encouraged to attend. 

“We’re bringing in industry professionals from around the area to talk about what they do,” said Mr. Barrus.

It will be an all day conference where the students and teachers that come will be able to listen to multiple experts.  There will be presentations on different aspects of journalism and yearbook. There is even a portion about social media and digital advertising. 

“They will try and help students get an idea of photography and marketing and video and news writing,” said Barrus.
