Fashion trends have been happening since humans first invented clothing. Some have been good, and some have been really bad. With the start of the new year, a lot of new fashion trends are popping up in the halls of Madison, including a couple old styles that are making a comeback. We asked

students what new fashion trends they have noticed lately.

Addie Palmer, sophomore, said, “vintage clothes. All of the 90’s style is like coming back to fashion. Lots of stripes and scrunchies, and mom jeans, yup.”

Many people notice that old trends are coming back into style.

”80’s and 90’s. Colorful clothes, large oversized tops, tight pants and long hair for boys,” said Emily Willmore, junior.

Students also observe that fashion looks are evolving to be more sophisticated and simplistic.

“All the kids love to wear white shoes and vans! Also things like jean jackets, light denim jeans, high neck black shirts, a lot of neutral colors. A lot of natural makeup too.” Said Junior Boston Jensen.

Some more fashion trends include hoop earrings, stripes, animal prints, dad sneakers, and rusty orange and red colors.
