The war is in the trenches! The Cats fought hard and blood, sweat, and tears were left on the court after beating the Thunder Ridge Titans 63-28.

Being 7-0 the Cats had a lot of pressure. The game starts out with the Spencer Hathaway fighting through, swinging hands, going in strong for the first bucket of the game. After the first point, the ball goes back and forth on the court, and the only points were put up by Madison. By the end of the first quarter, the Cats were up 19-1. Hard work really pays off.

During the second quarter, the Titans started to gain momentum, but not without the Cats scoring as well. With four and a half minutes left on the clock, the Bobcats called a timeout when they are leading 21-10. When the teams get back on the court, the Cats started picking up the pace. At the end of the half, the Cats were still leading 37-11.

After halftime, Madison’s student section started booming as the Cats come out with a quick 8 points in the first two minutes to keep Thunder Ridge at 14. Running the ball back and forth, and the Titans still couldn’t seem to score, but many shots were still going up.

The Bobcats fought hard to keep the ball away from Thunder Ridge, and they manage to do so until they call timeout with four minutes remaining in the third quarter. Right after the timeout, Madison senior Kyle Jackson comes out and slams down a dunk on the Titans. The student section was cheering so loud that the bleachers were shaking. That play ended the third quarter 55-22.

With the Cats still going on strong, the fourth quarter finally rolls around, and after a long battle the Cats come out on top with another victory at Madison High School.
