Homecoming week started off with a blast from the past with Childhood Day. Everyone was encouraged to dress up as they would when they were a child. People came dressed up with their favorite blankets and teddy bears from their childhood. Mr Fillmore dressed up as Russell from the Disney movie UP.

The activity for Monday happened during lunch, and it was a baby food eating competition. The winner of the competition gained 1001 points for their grade.
The winner, Senior Chase Jones, finished a container of baby food in 3.83 seconds.

“I’ve never really done competitions in school, so I wanted to give it a try,” Jones said

Junior Mari Xela Anderson came in second, in 4.02 seconds. Sophomore Jacob Crawford finished third in 7.96 seconds.

A lot of people dressed up for childhood day, but Junior Katelyn Wray went the extra mile and brought a teddy bear as big as her.

“I’ve always loved teddy bears, I think my favorite part is (that) giant bears make me feel little, and so as a kid I just loved being little. It was just freeing I guess,” Wray said.
