On Saturday, MHS students buckled down for a barrage of goofy entertainment preceding the Spring Fling dance that night.

“We did gravity yoga with hammocks and we also went rollerblading,” Junior Jordan Porter said.

Sophomore Andrew Williams said that the day date was the best part of the dance.

“Some people in our group got putters and we went around the college playing mini golf,” Williams said.

Sophomore Macie Ellsworth agreed that the day date was the highlight of the Spring Fling experience.

“We had an all-day long photo shoot in Idaho Falls and then we went to an Escape house and Possibly Picassos,” Ellsworth said.

Jordan Porter and Senior Sara Tippets both said that the best part of the dance was getting to be around their friends.

“We went to Walmart and played the Walmart game and then took pictures with all of the murals around Rexburg,” Tippets said.

Tippets and her group wore classic baseball tees to the dance, and they were far from the only ones with matching t-shirts there.

“Me and my date had Adidas t-shirts and then some of the other people in our group had like Levi t-shirts or other logos like that,” Porter said.

The dance itself, however, seemed to be mediocre in many students’ eyes. Williams said the DJ was just all right.

“We left at 11 cause we wanted to go home and make crepes,” Tippets said.
