Valentine’s Day is celebrated by couples everywhere, whether far away or close together. It’s even easier to celebrate when you work with your significant other. At MHS, Mr. and Mrs. Wetzel are just lucky enough to have this opportunity.

When asked separately to answer a series of questions, this is how they responded.

What was your first date?

“It was the George Dray concert,” Mrs. Wetzel said.

“We technically dated two times before we got together our senior year of high school,” Mr. Wetzel said.

Who initiated the first kiss?

“I think I did actually, after the concert we went to a country western dance and then I kissed him,” Mrs. Wetzel said.

“I don’t remember when it was but of course I would have had to initiate it,” Mr. Wetzel said.

Who said ‘I love you’ first?

“He said it first,” Mrs. Wetzel said.

“It would have had to be her,” Mr. Wetzel said.

What do you do for Valentine’s day?

“We don’t really do anything big cause it’s just kind of like a celebration of our love every day,” Mrs. Wetzel said.

“We let everyone fight over the place to go eat and stuff to do and then we celebrate it on the 15th of February,” Mr. Wetzel said.

Despite the difference in these answers, Mr. and Mrs. Wetzel enjoy spending time together and sharing this holiday.

“I just love him so much, every day,” Mrs. Wetzel said.
