Students take the first step towards their future as the apply to college. This week Nov 6-10 is college week with activities from representatives helping students apply for school, to people explaining their careers in the hallway. This week will be finished up with aggie ice cream served on Friday the 10th. College week is really to help the students prepare for college.

“Well some of the things I didn’t understand what I was supposed to put in there but then he helped me. He told me and showed me how to get them done,” Senior Holly Ivy said.

Other students took advantage of college week too, and it’s a good thing they did.

“It’s important to start in high school and applying early because things change quickly, life changes fast. If you apply now, and something comes up you’re fine later on down the road because you’re prepared,” Nathan Geddes a former student of MHS said.

It’s important to start early, and this week is to help seniors apply.

“I would say the overall goal is to increase the amount of applications for colleges that are filled out by our seniors. It’s just you’re hitting reality but you’re not in it yet, so you don’t realize that the deadliness are within about two months,” Mrs. Barney said.
