The MHS football team pulled off a win for last Friday’s homecoming game, beating the Idaho Falls Tigers 38-6.

“It was great we won by quite a bit. There were a lot of people there. It definitely helps a lot to see how much support we have it really gets us pumped up,” Senior Parker Weber said.

The entire stadium was filled and buzzing with support for the team.

“It was a lot of fun, I think it’s the funnest game I have ever cheered at. I think it’s what the students put into it and what we, as cheerleaders put into it and all the energy that everyone has,” Senior Julianna Short said.

The student section plays a big role in the energy of the game and has a lot of fun doing it.

“We did the flour thing which was sweet. Someone brought a bunch of flour and we all grabbed a handful and on the kick off right before half we all threw the flour in the air. It was pretty sick,” Senior Colton Porter said.

Porter talked about the requirements to be on the front row of the student section.

“Have to be a senior, that’s number one right there. You have to cheer, you can’t just sit down. Being a senior is a big part of it. It’s like your prize for making it,” Porter said.
