180 couples will be roaming around town this Saturday going on dates, taking pictures, and dancing at Homecoming.  According to last year’s statistics, roughly 69 percent of MHS students did not attend.  With the absence of approximately 800 students, many other social events and activities are occurring.

We talked to many Madison students who are not participating to see what their plans for the night were.

“I’ll do my own thing at my house or I will go to the dance, just dressed in my casual clothes and dance with my friends,” said Senior Madi Day

“Just going up to the cabin, riding razors, and spending time with family,” said Senior Con Ball.

“It is the Sage Hen season opening so I will do that in the morning.”  Said Junior Mason King.

“Just probably hanging with my friends who aren’t 16,” said Sophomore Mason Mcwhorter.
