Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the Mexican’s unlikely victory during the French-Mexican war. This holiday is commonly confused with Mexico’s independence day, which actually occurred several years earlier. Cinco de Mayo is mostly celebrated in the United States, where parades and parties are held to celebrate Mexican culture. “Last May I went to a Cinco de Mayo festival in Los Angeles. It was super colorful and exciting. It was fun to see all the Mexican culture and hear the traditional music,” Said Gracie Rumsey.

Attending or participating in a Cinco de Mayo day parade is a great way to be exposed to new things and appreciate the Mexican culture.
