The Madison Bobcats basketball team officially took 3rd place after beating Coeur d’Alene 62-45. The day before the Bobcats lost to the Owyhee Storm by 12 points and Timberline lost to Owyhee by 21 points.

“It feels really good that all this work paid off and growing this family and this team to get that 3rd place, it’s not exactly what we wanted but I’m still proud of this team and still proud of how we came out and won that game,” Senior Camdyn Allred said.

With this big win some players stood out during the tournament like senior Luke Watson who had 2 16 point games and had at least 4 rebounds every game. “It’s just our last 3 games so you just have to give it your all play the best you can in the last 3 games,” Watson said.

Senior Chase Crane was arguably the best defender in the entire state locking up some of the biggest names in the state. “Just something I take pride in, something I enjoy, over the years I just learned to love it and just kind of turned it into a passion and once it’s a passion it’s easy,” Crane said.

Senior Berrett Wilson had a phenomenal career at Madison and led the team in points and rebounds during the tournament but his basketball journey isn’t over yet. “I have decisions to make on if a AAU team or something but I will go on a mission and then come back and play basketball,” Wilson said.
