‘I like soccer’

Maxwell Lorenzo Thueson was born in Rexburg, Idaho on June 8, 2007. From a young age, Max was obsessed with soccer. He recalls playing soccer as young as 3 years old. His parents– Laura and Bryce Thueson– raised Max with a hard work ethic, and pushed him to become the well-oiled soccer machine that he is. When asked what his favorite fuel for a game is, he answered, “Marshmallow Mateys, because they are cheaper and better than Lucky Charms.” It’s not often that you meet such an efficient athletic specimen such as Max, who also possesses such an exquisite taste in breakfast cereals. Max’s favorite soccer player is Cristiano Ronaldo, and his biggest inspiration is the women that tend to flock to him. Some of his favorite soccer memories happened as early as eight years old. This was the age that he won a local soccer tournament, and even scored the game winning goal. As great as Maxwell is, when asked about his favorite Jolly Rancher flavor, his response was, “I don’t like em’.” This blatant character flaw can be overlooked, as Max has many other redeeming qualities that cancel out his poor taste in sweets. I will leave you now with this insightful quote from Mr. Thueson himself. “I like soccer because I love to do soccer and I like soccer.”
