As LeBron James continues his monumental career, more and more people have begun to think that he is the greatest player of all time. Now I am not denouncing LeBron and his greatness, but Michael Jordan is my G.O.A.T. People ask how he is better than LeBron when LeBron has more points, assists, steals, rebounds and finals appearances. It is true that LeBron has more in all of those but that is because Jordan played 6 less seasons than LeBron. Even with playing that much less than LeBron, Jordan has 2 more Championships, 3 more All Defense Selections, 1 more MVP award, and also holds a Defensive Player of the Year award which LeBron has never done. Also pointed out by NBA trainer, Tim Grover, only 4 times in NBA history has a player won a Scoring Title, MVP, 1st Team All Defense, a Championship and brought home the Finals MVP all in 1 year. Those 4 times are all held by Michael Jordan. LeBron is an insane athlete and I truly respect him for his accomplishments, but he is just not the greatest to play the game. Him and Michael Jordan are definitely the two best players in NBA history and I really struggle with people that leave one of those two out of the top two. Although I like Jordan a whole lot more than LeBron, I’m going to appreciate Lebron while he is still playing in the league.
