Junior at Madison, Carter Lerwill, hopes the varsity boys team advances to state this year. “They’ve been
playing pretty well so far this season but have room for improvement,” Carter said. “We do need to work
on ball movement and transition defense,” “I enjoy our team environment, they’re more than just a team,
they’re all my friends too,” Carter’s teammate, Berret Wilson, said, “Carter is an absolute sharpshooter, I
like it when he shoots,” His favorite thing about basketball is his team dynamic and chemistry. His least
favorite thing is coming back from a break and being rusty at practice. After high school, he wants to
follow in his brother’s footsteps and play for Montana Tech. Tyson Lerwill, his brother, is also the reason
he started playing basketball. His favorite memory from the game is winning districts in the 2021-2022
season.
