Homecoming 2023 is upon us and the annual bonfire is one of the most exciting events the week has to offer.

“Oh boy the bonfire’s been part of the homecoming celebration since, probably since Mr. Reeser was a student,” Teacher Mr. Snelgrove said.

The bonfire brings fun memories for the students and for the officers attending.

“One time I had a kid almost catch himself on fire, cause when it starts kids want to see how close they can run to it, and he had his hoodie tied around his waist cause it got hot, and when he ran by he got so close that the hood started to smoke and everything,” Officer Bovie said.

The bonfire is awesome for memories but also for being social and interacting with your friends and peers.

“Usually when I just hangout with friends at the fire, and just catching up and stuff it’s really fun,” Senior Todd Heward said.
