This year we have 15 exchange students attending Madison High School. Starting a new school year is not really an exciting time for us but the foreign exchange students would say otherwise.

“I’ve always wanted to be at an American School, it’s completely different,” Senior Clara Zbinden from France said.

That being said, Rexburg is completely different from what they are used to seeing at home.

“It’s very country sided and I live in a big city where there’s a lot of houses and no land,” Senior Luca Shultz from Germany said.

Our food is also very different from what these students are used to eating. Some are even struggling to find something that they enjoy.

“Chick-fil-A was the best food I’ve had and the least, the hamburger in the cafeteria,” Senior Danae Metafriya from Switzerland said.

It seems most have the same opinion.

“I’m having some trouble with food but I think my favorite has been five guys and my least favorite, probably the pepperoni pizza that they serve,” Senior Alessandro Berardi from Italy said.
