Loco for Hoco

Students of Madison High School are going all out this year for homecoming; from large chunks of wood to frogs in jars, every poster has an exciting story.
“It said, ‘wood you go to Homecoming with me’, and then he got like a big piece of wood and then candy,” Junior Makenzie Richie said.
This clever poster design was also the way that Richie’s date’s older brother asked her older sister to Homecoming, continuing a fun tradition. Unlike Richie’s poster, some people were asked with gifts that were much more alarming. Junior Claire Wilcox was definitely shocked when her date showed up at her doorstep with his hands full of frogs!
”…he just pulls out this jar of frogs and I was just like ‘why do you have a jar of frogs?’,“ Wilcox said.
Even though people are asked in many different ways, it’s always a fun surprise when a poster shows up on your front porch.
“I didn’t really think that I was getting asked, so it was fun,” Richie said.
