Dating at Madison

Do kids at Madison even go on dates anymore? It’s becoming less common that students are dating as the new trend of “hanging out”  becomes more popular.

“People don’t really ask people on dates anymore which is sad because they are really fun. People are just in situationships; they don’t even actually date other people,” junior Emily Neal said. 

Not only do people never go on actual dates anymore but when you get asked you end up doing the same thing every time.

”Going and getting ice cream is super basic but everyone does it. Going to Fat Cats to go bowling is also really common,” junior Tanner Hancock said.

While getting ice cream is still a fun date idea, some of the funnest and most memorable dates are more random and spontaneous. 

“My most memorable date was going to the sand dunes and sledding on cardboard boxes. It was so random but so much fun,” junior Emily Neal said.
