Last week, Madison’s star player Berrett Wilson was injured at a close basketball game in Hillcrest. The Bobcats lost to the Knights by 4 points (62-58) in a back and forth game. All members of the team played very well. During the game however, Berrett fell to the ground in a hard clash hyperextending his knee. Berrett and bobcats are optimistic about his recovery.

“I’m trying to be back by our district game, but the recovery time is 2 to 4 weeks,” Junior Berrett Wilson said.

The team was able to bounce back without the help of Berrett and take over the Rigby Trojans in a 10 point victory.

“The team is adjusting nicely. They are staying together and believing in each other and the coaches. We will be just fine,” Wilson said.

The bobcats are optimistic about the rest of the season, especially with the confidence that comes with beating their rivals.

“Our game against Rigby shows that we are deep. They all stepped up and did exactly what we needed so I would say we are performing well,” Wilson said.

The cats went on to beat Skyline 52 to 40 on Saturday night and are prepping for their game against the Idaho Falls Tigers in Idaho Falls.
