Lawn Gone Wrong
Junior Jarum Flamm decided to fertilize the lawn and made a rookie mistake. He was just trying to help out, but what he thought was fetilizer, wasn’t.
“I was asked to fertilize the lawn to make it look luscious and ended up using a sterilizer,” Flamm said.
Some may laugh, some may cry, his dad did neither. When he found out what he had done, Flamm’s dad wasn’t very happy.
“You’re about to die,” Hyrum Flamm told Jarum.
Lucky Jarum is still with us today, sadly the whole lawn was gone.
“Reviving the lawn was a process and included digging up 6 inches of the whole yard, covering it in charcoal dust, then filling it back up and planting grass seeds,” Jarum said. “In order to fix the grass it would take 3 years.”
Even though he killed off most most of the grass, he still had to do mow the lawn every Saturday w
hile it was growing back in.
“I had to mow the little patches of grass that weren’t dead,” Flamm said.
