Many teenagers see Rexburg as a place with nothing to do. Because of this, they look to neighboring counties, and in some cases states, for entertainment. A newly popular form of entertainment for students at Madison

is concerts.

“The concert I went to was so much fun, just to look over at each other, screaming all the lyrics to the songs,” Junior Hannah Barzee said.

Barzee and her best friend Junior Brinlee Lennberg, went to a concert all the way in Tacoma, Washington just last year for Lennberg’s sixteenth birthday. They attended Harry Styles’ ‘Love on Tour’ concert.

“He was just such a good performer,” Lennberg said.

I even have gone to my fair share of concerts recently, including Olivia Rodrigo, Bleachers, and two more coming up. Junior Hazel Paul accompanied me to a concert in Salt Lake City for Lizzy McAlpine.

“She had a way of captivating her audience in such a way that you felt a sense of togetherness, and that’s what I love about concerts,” Paul said.

So if you ever find yourself with a free weekend, thinking of something to do, look no further. Whether it’s near or far, concerts are a great way to spend quality time with friends, and just have fun.

“It’s more than just the music, it’s about being with other people that enjoy the same stuff you do,” Paul said.
