Last weekend at the Rocky Mountain Rumble, Madison took on Tooele. The Bobcats won 35-14. They looked great but the true highlight this week was Senior QB Ben Dredge totaling 4 touchdowns.

“He’s a really good player, and he’s our senior leader. He does a lot for our team. We look forward to seeing a lot of him the rest of this season,” Head Coach Chandler Rhoads said.

Being a quarterback is a lot of responsibility but add captain to that and it takes a lot of leadership skills to do both. Dredge is ready for the challenge.

“I stepped up and took the leadership role, told everybody what to do and that we all have a part and we need to do them well,” Dredge said.

Last year Dredge was the #2 Quarterback on the depth chart, but when he got moved up to the #1 spot he ran with it. He hopes he can keep dominating the opponents this season after leading Madison to a 31-28 victory over the Rigby Trojans, where he completed 61.5% of his passes for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns

“I think we’re going to do really well, we have had really good practices and offensively they can’t stop our run,” Dredge said.
