The MHS Marching Band season will be one to remember. The Marching Band took first place in the ISU Marching Invitational for their division and captured the Gem State award. They also took second place at the Southern Idaho Marching Band Showcase.

For the Seniors it is their last performance as part of the MHS Marching Band.

“It’s a weird experience to be done. I am sad but happy at the same time to be done with band. The goal is to keep doing band but we’ll see where life takes me,” Senior Christian Eggett said.

As for the next year, Senior Meagan Felt wishes them luck.

“It feels great to be done with the season I’m going to miss them we had a good season and I wish them luck for the next year,” Felt said.

During the final performance, new drum majors were selected. Caleb Lyons was selected as head drum major. Juniors Brody Meacham, Braden Hiebert, and Julia Reynolds were selected as drum majors.

“I was selected to be drum major for the upcoming year and I can’t describe how I feel. I am going to work as hard as I can for the next year,” Junior Brody Mecham said.
