Tech Savvy-Students
by: Lynn Hall
The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national club similar to FFA or BPA, where students who are interested in different types of technology, learn and apply advanced concepts around the tech of their choice.
Advisor for the club, Mr. Call, talks about what the students at MHS are interested in.
“Most of the kids are involved in robotics, the VEX Robotics competition. They work on building different robots throughout the year.” Call says
Senior Ben Black is the President of TSA at MHS. He says that TSA has helped him to be a leader and learn more about technology.
“And it’s not just like robotics or computers and stuff like that. You’ve got everything from design to manufacturing to architecture to stuff like that… for example there’s one competition at state where you design a children’s book.”
Above all, Mr. Call doesn’t want to discourage anybody from joining in on the fun.
“We welcome anybody who wants to be involved.” Call says.
The TSA generally meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the trailer behind the Ag building. Talk to Mr Call for more information.
