The Madison FFA auction brings students and local businesses together to support the FFA chapter. According to Madison FFA chapter president Pearson Orme, the auction is one of the chapter’s biggest fundraisers.

“The Madison FFA auction is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. We got donations from local businesses and community members and then auction those off,” Orme said.

Putting on an auction takes more than just gathering items. FFA members spend time reaching out to businesses, picking up donations, and organizing everything before the event.

“There is a lot more work that goes into it than people realize. Students spend a lot of time contacting businesses, and getting everything ready for the auction,” Orme said.

This year’s auction will feature a variety of donated items, including a set of tires valued at $800, a bog of swag from Ultimate Steel Erection, and a University of Idaho quilt. These are just a few of the items available, with many more donations to be auctioned off.

“There are a lot of different items this year, so there is something for pretty much everyone. I think people would be surprised by how many different things they can bid on,” Orme said.

The auction gives community members a chance to support Madison FFA while bidding on items donated by local businesses. The money raised helps the chapter continue its activities and provide opportunities for its members throughout the year.

“I think the auction is a great way for the community to support our chapter and help us continue doing the activities and events we do throughout the year,” Orme said.
