Who has the winter Uglies?

Madison High School- During the winter months, many students feel more insecure about their appearance as the lack of sunlight starts to show.

“I hate how pale I get in the winter, so I go to the tanning beds every once in a while just to feel better about myself,” junior Hayden Kunz said.

While some students only tan occasionally, others make it part of their routine during the colder months.

“Once it starts getting cold, I’ll go tanning like once every couple weeks because I don’t like looking washed out,” Junior Quinn Marcum said.

For some guys, tanning is less about looks and more about confidence.

“It just makes me feel more confident, especially during winter when everyone looks kind of dead,” Junior Jaden Taylor said.
