Senior Night Showdown: Madison vs. Highland

On Wednesday , Madison High School’s wrestling team will host Highland, one of the toughest teams in the district, in a matchup that could have a major impact on state seeding and rankings.

The meet begins at 7:00 p.m. and will also serve as Senior Night, marking Madison’s final home event of the season. With districts taking place next weekend and the state tournament approaching, the timing adds extra importance, especially for several Madison wrestlers seeking redemption after earlier losses to Highland.

Key matchups at 157 and 165 pounds are expected to play a major role in the outcome of the dual.

Despite Highland’s reputation, Madison remains confident. “There’s only a couple of advanced people on their team, and the rest are average,” Madison wrestler McGregor Miller said. “If we go out there and wrestle our match, we’ll be in a good position.”
