Excitement of Snowboarding as Winter Approaches

As November snow begins to fall, students are heading to the mountains to kick off snowboarding season. With new tricks to learn and fresh powder to ride, Junior Noah Romney is ready to have a fun winter.
“My favorite thing about snowboarding is learning new tricks, because it’s awesome when you stomp a new trick and ride away, it’s like the best feeling in the world,” Romney said.
For many students, snowboarding isn’t just a sport, it’s a weekly routine that helps them stay active and make the cold weather something to look forward to.
“I go snowboarding at least once every week, so as often as I can,” said Romney.
While snowboarding can be thrilling once you get the hang of it, the first few times on the slopes can be a real challenge for new snowboarders.
“When you’re first learning, snowboarding is the most difficult because you don’t know how to do anything yet, it’s really hard to get down the mountain when you don’t know how to carve,” said Romney.
