Students Experience With Virtual Days

At MHS, students are split on whether virtual learning days actually help them. Junior Kendall Nielson said that while staying home is nice, many students struggle to stay motivated or finish their assignments on time.
“To me virtual days feel like a free day to be honest, like I have some assignments but I’m not going to do them until the day after,” Nielson said.
Students do enjoy the extra time and freedom at home, but some students question the point of having schoolwork outside the classroom.
“Virtual days are good because we don’t have to go to school but we are at home. Why do we have to do an assignment?” Nielson Said.
Nielson believes the best way to make virtual days more productive is to maybe just not have them at all.
“I think if you want to make virtual days more productive, just don’t have a virtual day, because a virtual day is not productive,” Nielson Said.
