Stepping Off the Field for the Last Time

On October 25th the marching band left the field for the last time ending an incredible season.
This year’s show was DreamZzzz.
“It was a lot of fun to portray dreams, we got to start off sleeping and we got to walk on to Brahm’s lullaby, we had some fun sets like a moon or clocks,” Senior Lindsay Webb said.
This is her first year being part of the band, previously being a member of the color guard.
“I really enjoyed seeing the difference of how the band works together, how they put it on the field, and how much they work on the music, so I really loved being part of the band and part of the trumpet section,” Webb said.
This was an especially good season and the band was consistently in the top three in their competitions.
“This was probably my favorite season out of all four,” Senior Isaac Ballif said.
There aren’t very many things that bring people like hard work and long days. The band has gone through a lot together and is stronger for it.
“It’s a really safe space to make new friends, and not be afraid of failing miserably,” Balliff said. “Its so much fun to be part of a band family, to have all of the camaraderie, we just work together for one goal,” Webb said, “I heard once that marching band is the only sport where nobody gets to sit out, everyone’s one the field at once, and you really come to love those around you.”
