A long tradition of excellence is continued as the choirs prepare to have their first concert this year, at 7:30 on October 24 in the Madison Performing Arts Center.
“It’ll be good. I’m excited. It’s interesting having it be my last first concert of the year, it’s so sentimental, but I feel pretty good,” Senior Emaline Snelgrove said.
Her voice has added to the choir since fifth grade and she has enjoyed many aspects of it.
“I think people is a big one. I have so many friends in choir, and I also just love singing, music in general has been such a big part of my whole life,” Snelgrove said.
With the concert coming closer Sophomore Brett Dean Myers the 2nd shares his thoughts on the song selection.
“All of them are good, but my favorite would have to be shut the door,” Myers said.
Myers has been enjoying choir for quite a while, and feels it has made a positive impact on his life.
“I moved here about four years ago, and I joined Madison school District, I went for choir, and it was all awesome, it helped me learn how to be confident in how I sing in front of people,” Myers said.
