Shad the Rapper

Shad Draney, a high school Senior musician with a passion for rhythm and rhyme, is turning his love for drumming, strumming, and rapping into creative energy on YouTube. His channel is a mix of his musical talents, from Blink-182 drum covers to fast rap, his videos show off his love for music and creativity.

“I post just me playing the drums and rapping,” Draney said. “I did rap at 125% speed on that channel and I’ve done songs like ‘Seeing Double at the Triple Rock.’ A lot of good ones like that.”

He started making videos back in 10th grade but hasn’t posted in a while. Still, he’s thinking getting back into it, and maybe starting fresh on SoundCloud too.

“To be honest, I haven’t posted in forever, but maybe I’ll start again and get a bunch of followers. I just want to get my rap career somewhere– maybe other music too,” Draney said.

Whether it’s drums, guitar, or rap, Shad’s keeping the beat and looking to make his next one even better. His advice for other young musicians?

“Just do it every day. Have a goal, and set apart some time every single day to do music,” Draney said.
