Should you stop to let people in on roads after school?

People are stopping on the road to let people in from parking lots after school. Some think it’s kind, and some are frustrated.

“It takes way too long and people are special and they can’t get out in time,” Sophomore Raigen Stucki said.

While the intention may be kind, stopping unexpectedly on a busy road disrupts traffic flow and increases the risk of rear-end collisions.

“It causes car crashes because people are impatient teenagers, you shouldn’t be stopping on the road because you don’t have a stop sign,” Stucki said.

Traffic laws are designed to keep vehicles moving safely and predictably, especially during peak hours.

“If you are tired of not being let in, go find another parking spot,” Stucki said.
